The goal of Masjid Dawah is to promote a proper understanding of Islam that is based on the Qur’an and Sunnah to all residents of the West Side of Chicago. It is our hope that insha’Allah (God-willing), this understanding will foster mutual good-will within the community as well as remove misconceptions that are perpetuated. Masjid Dawah is the only fully functioning masjid on the West Side, with over 200 people attending Jummah and a significant representation of Blackamericans, South Asians, Arabs and others. With over 30 years of community building, Masjid Dawah is the only masjid in the city that projects the Adhan to the local neighborhood 5 times a day, 7 days a week.
